Luxury Walking Holidays
Come and join us for a seven day luxury walking holiday. We will spend part of our time walking on the wonderful South Loch Ness Trail. The area offers varied landscapes of great beauty. Our walks will take us in valleys and wild woodlands and a few summits too, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the wilderness. When we are not walking we will be out exploring this great country, rich in all its history and dark past, and not forgetting its whisky! See our itinerary here.
Accommodation will comprise seven nights at a luxury lodge in the Highlands, with all accommodation, meals and transport included. You simply need to make your way to Inverness railway station from where you will be picked up and treated to the holiday of a lifetime.
What to Expect
Each of our trips uses one of a number of luxury highland lodges. The choice of lodge will be made by Hop and Thistle Tours depending on the size of the group. All lodges are equipped to a very high standard. Most rooms are en-suite or have a separate bathroom unless otherwise stated. See details of our luxury accommodation here.
All lunches are taken while out on our travels and would normally comprise three courses with tea and coffee or beer and wine if you wish.
All breakfast and most evening meals are prepared by our own chef and staff. Each evening you will be treated to a gourmet three course meal with beer, wine and soft drinks. After dinner, there will be tea or coffee. Our menus for the evening meals will be available in advance. Find out more about the dining on offer here.
Drinks available after dinner at the lodge include a fine collection of wines and cava and a selection of beers and malt whiskies. Water and soft drinks are also available. Drinks are available until 11pm and can be taken to your room. The cost of after dinner drinks is included in the package.
There is a nightly gathering at 6.30 pm for a pre-dinner drink and to allow us to discuss our day, and our plans for the next day.
Please note that factors such as extreme weather or path maintenance means that our itinerary can be subject to change. If this happens then suitable alternative arrangements will be made. Full information about our itinerary can be found here.
